PROVIDING FINER AMENITIES TO MILITARY FAMILIES

Direct Import Services was selected to design, build, deliver and install a line of its customized cabinets and granite countertops for Parc Stone Luxury Apartments—a new multi-family housing complex near Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

“For the first phase, we installed kitchen and bath cabinets for 120 units in five weeks,” said Doug Delong, owner of DBLD, Inc., Direct Import Service’s exclusive installer for the job. “Plus, we installed cabinets and granite countertops in the clubhouse—computer areas, vanities, and kitchenette.”

All counter tops were cut to spec exclusively from Uba Tuba granite in a striking sandy-gold color. For the clubhouse, Parc Stone’s designers ordered the granite in its greenish-black hue. A quartz and mica composition with a tightly packed grain pattern, Uba Tuba is extremely dense—easily withstanding heat, water and resisting wear.

“From the beginning, we worked to create a line of military-tough, yet beautiful products,” said Delong. “All were fabricated to their designs, matching their style and color scheme.”

Parc Stone offers residents spacious one to three bedroom units, from 827 sq. ft. to 1369 sq. ft.—and up to two bathrooms with garden tubs, dual vanities and porcelain sinks. The complex features a business center, clubhouse, fitness center, gated access, a playground, swimming pool, tanning beds and other high-end amenities.

“As building progressed, our craftsmen and installers worked with framers so each of our cabinets and countertops fit perfectly,” said Delong. “Overall, the installation was very smooth. We had zero issues.”

With leases beginning in September 2010, Direct Import services worked closely with the builder, North Carolina’s Hackett Builders, LLC and the leasing company, Drucker and Falk—handling all logistics to ensure on-time delivery and installation of all products to meet the tight construction schedule.

“Housing in Fayetteville is booming because of the Army base,” said Delong.

“Parc Stone offers affordable luxury housing for the growing number of younger and military families moving there.”  

The second and third phase will add 212 units to the complex. And Direct Import Services is set to provide product installation through November and December 2010.
